Every year, since we’ve graduated from high school, we meet up, and dine out in Davao for our annual Christmas celebration. Cha, Shane and Rusty, despite their busy schedules, never fail to show up. Baka they’re in for the chika? A lot can happen in one year. Medyo malutong mga balita. Lol
This year, we thought of chatting over wine and steak, and a generous serving of cheese platter. While trying to figure out where to eat, someone suggested if we could cook for ourselves, instead? Aside from the fact that it actually would give us more time for convo, we would also be able to finally test how domesticated we really are. Haha (Guess which #EatGirl made the brilliant suggestion. Well, you’re right. It was me. Lol) They agreed, and so we decided to push through with the cookfest.
Shane offered her mansion in Eden. In about an hour and a half ride from the city, we arrived. #YAS (Cue: STARBOY in the background)
Cheese & Meat Platter
Truffle Mushroom Pasta
Roasted Native Chicken
Oreo Cheesecake Cookies
A bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon
A bottle of Moscato
We were stuffed! So stuffed. Another bite of an oreo cheesecake cookie, and we could pass out! But this was indeed a great night. So we say yes to more cookfest sessions. I sure can’t wait for our next visit in the Eden Mansion!
Someone once said, “Sometimes, the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.” I totally agree. The night was filled with new core memories. ‘Til our next #EatVenture! Happy holidays!
